Placing your sensors

The smart sensors we install are highly sensitive, small (6 cm x 6 cm x 2 cm), featuring electrodes on the top and bottom that detect dripping water from above and pooling water on the floor, (such as a leaky sink trap or a failing pipe joint).

By placing your sensors in high-risk zones—under the kitchen sink, behind the washing machine, next to the boiler—the system alerts you to exactly where the leak is coming from as it begins, so you any damage is limited and quickly contained.

Smartphone Alerts

The system will send instant app notifications, SMS (text message) alerts, and emails the second moisture is detected.

The optional internal house siren will activate as soon as a leak is detected to alert you while you are elsewhere in the house, or wake you up if a leak occurs overnight.

Automatic Water Shut-Off Valves

The full power of a smart water system is its ability to not just detect a leak, but to actively stop it before you’re even aware it has happened. We can integrate your sensors with automatic shut-off valves (such as the motorised ball valve or the "Bulldog" valve robot) installed directly on your main water line.

The moment any sensor in your house detects moisture, it instantly triggers the automatic valve to turn off your main water supply.

Thanks to YoLink's unique device-to-device pairing, this automation works even if your Wi-Fi is down or the power goes out.

Whether you are asleep upstairs or holidaying in on the other side of the world, your house will automatically protect itself, limiting significant damage-causing leaks to just a few spilled drops.

Simple to reset

Simply wipe down the affected sensor with a dry cloth or paper towel and place it back on the floor.

The smart alerts will automatically clear as soon as the sensors are dry and the system is reset and ready to protected your home again.
